Refuse and recycling questions?

WestReef Services is not involved in the kerbside collection or transfer stations any longer- please click here to view info such as collection days and schedule, transfer station opening hours and fees on the Buller District Council’s website.

How can i get a skip?

WestReef Services have refuse skips available for hire.  We only have one size skip which is approximately 8-9 m3. The hire fee of the skip is based on the location that it is delivered to, and a deposit is required before any skip will be delivered. The cost of dumping the filled skip is based on how much it weighs, as would be the case if you were to take refuse to the Westport Transfer Station. Dumping fees are based on $503.70 per tonne for general refuse, and $143.30 per tonne for green waste.  Please call reception on 03 788 9090, for further details,  rates and to make a booking.

How do I find my Toby Valve?

Your toby valve is the water valve that allows water to your property to be turned on or off. Typically it is situated on or near your front boundary near the footpath. Your toby will be encased with a small circular blue plastic, aluminium or steel top. It is generally in line with your first outdoor tap. If you have trouble finding your toby valve it may be covered completely by gardens or lawn/grass. If you cannot find your toby please call WestReef on (03) 788 9090 and we will send someone out to help you locate it.

How can I make a payment?


You can pay online straight to our bank account, or you can pay at our reception at 80 Russell Street. Payments to reception can be eftpos or cash. Please note we cannot take credit cards.
